This policy document establishes the standards, criteria, and procedures that the Department of African, African American and Diaspora Studies at UNC Chapel Hill uses to guide faculty personnel decisions, including appointments, reappointments, promotions, and tenure. It applies to both tenure-track and fixed-term teaching track faculty, with expectations defined across research, teaching, and service.
