Types of Leave

  1. Standard Leave

  2. Professional Travel (PT)
    1. In addition to the standard leave types, the Department of Ophthalmology provides 10 days of Professional Travel leave per Fiscal Year (July 1 to June 30) for full-time faculty, pro-rated for part-time faculty.
    2. Any additional days of Professional Travel taken beyond a faculty member’s allotted time will be taken out of vacation leave.
    3. Mission trips with a resident that have been approved by the Chair and Residency Program Director are logged as Professional Travel but do not count against a faculty member’s allotted time.
