Amplified Sound Policy

Title

Carolina Union: Amplified Sound Policy

Introduction

Purpose

This policy is meant to:

  • ensure sound in the Pit does not negatively impact libraries and classroom buildings during academic instruction times, and
  • provide a process for requesting amplified sound in advance with the Carolina Union.

Scope

This Policy applies to Carolina Union exterior locations and their usage by University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill ("UNC-Chapel Hill" or "University") students, staff, faculty, and guests. This includes Registered Student Organizations, University Departments, and Non-Affiliates.
