To ensure that research laboratory freezer alarm systems (freezer alarms) are functional and compatible with existing monitoring equipment, this policy establishes guidelines for all university departments relating to the request for and installation and operation of freezer alarms. The existence of this policy is not a guarantee that the University will always be able to respond to freezer alarms or be able to restore temperate conditions quickly enough to prevent damage.

The Emergency Loan Program was established to provide University employees with an alternative to borrow money for short-term emergency situations.
Examples of situations warranting the use of an emergency loan, may include, but are not limited to: a family medical emergency, threatened foreclosure or eviction from a primary residence, emergency automobile repairs, or termination of utilities.

Incidents resulting in personal injuries to students, staff, faculty, and visitors while on University property, or in the course of University employment or activity, are to be reported to the University Department of Environment, Health and Safety. EHS will investigate for potentially unsafe conditions and initiate corrective action as appropriate. Campus Police are to notify the Department of Environment, Health and Safety of incidents to which they respond.

Blastomyces dermatitidis is a dimorphic fungal pathogen existing in nature and in laboratory cultures at room temperature as a filamentous mold with asexual spores (conidia) that are the infectious particles; these convert to large budding yeasts under the appropriate culture conditions in vitro at 37°C and in the parasitic phase in vivo in warm-blooded animals. The sexual stage is an Ascomycete with infectious ascospores.
