This document describes the guidelines by which UNC-Chapel Hill faculty can be nominated to teach Summer School courses.

The University provides individual health insurance coverage to eligible temporary, full-time postdoctoral appointments under a major medical policy underwritten by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Carolina and managed by Hill, Chesson and Woody.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (the "University") hosts approximately 1,000 postdoctoral scholars on its campus each year. Postdoctoral scholars ("Postdocs") are hosted in many different departments, schools and centers throughout the University.

The University recognizes the importance of community involvement and encourages employees to participate in volunteer activities by providing flexibility in work schedules and paid leave opportunities. Community Service Leave (CSL) is a paid time off program to participate in the educational process of children through the high school level and to support other community service volunteer activities for non-profit organizations.
