Course Schedule Maintenance opens and departments/schools prepare course schedule details and begin updating in ConnectCarolina. (Date is subject to change per University Registrar).
Summer School sends to departments/schools their course descriptions electronically so they can begin updating for Summer 2025. |
November 15 |
Online Course Schedule Maintenance closes at 4:00 p.m. Last day to make changes in ConnectCarolina for course offerings. (Date is subject to change per University Registrar.)
Deadline for edited course descriptions for 2025 copy to be returned electronically to Summer School. Units also provide a list of planned Maymester courses and times to Summer School along with their updated course descriptions.

Online Extended Schedule Maintenance reopens for departments/schools entries/changes for instructor information, enrollment, restrictions, or footnotes. Room assignments are made by the Scheduling Office. |
December 6* |
All schedule changes after this date must be approved by Summer School.
Summer School gives non-personnel allocations to schools and the College. |

Administrators go to summer.unc.edu and "courses" to check their course descriptions for summer courses; any changes/corrections sent to Summer School. |

Instructor Nomination Forms due to Summer School. No schedule changes after this date except for a justifiable emergency. |
March 3 |
Offer of employment letters mailed by Summer School. |
April 30 |
Suggested date for units to complete summer session 1 position and hiring actions. |
April-May |
Administrators check frequently for low enrolled or over enrolled MAYMESTER/FIRST SESSION classes (April 11, April 18 and April 25). |
May 7 |
Deadline for Summer School to notify administrators of final course cancellations for MAYMESTER/FIRST SESSION after consultation with School and unit leadership. |
May 7 |
Units may begin to enter MAYMESTER/FIRST SESSION lump sum payment actions. |
June 6 |
All MAYMESTER/FIRST SESSION lump sum payment actions due in Summer School. |
June 12 |
Suggested date for units to complete summer session 2 position and hiring actions. |
