This policy explains how the University protects employees responsible for removing damaged lead containing paint, and for repainting in buildings constructed prior to 1978 from elevated exposures to lead.

Acceptable indoor air quality is air in which there are no known contaminants at harmful concentrations as determined by the Department of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and with which a substantial majority of people exposed do not express dissatisfaction.
