This policy sets expectations for how employees at UNC-Chapel Hill balance their University Duties with External Activities. It outlines when outside work or commitments may interfere with those duties, how such situations are reviewed, and the steps used to manage or prevent conflicts. NC-Chapel Hill supports outside professional engagement when it enhances scholarship, teaching, service, or professional development. These External Activities must not interfere with the University Duties.
