Title
Eshelman School of Pharmacy: Policy on Dual Degrees
Introduction
Purpose
While pursuing the PharmD degree at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (ESOP), students can pursue a complementary master's degree from another school/unit on campus. The options are an MBA through the Kenan-Flagler School of Business, or the MPH through the Gillings School of Global Public Health. Students pursuing a dual degree will often apply during their PY2 year and begin the dual degree in what would have traditionally been their PY3 year of the PharmD program. The students are enrolled in the Business or Public Health school for 3 semesters or 1 ½ academic years and return to Pharmacy in the Spring.
This policy addresses how any Foundation scholarships the students are awarded will be handled.
Scope
This policy applies to PharmD scholarship recipients, is stewarded by the Scholarships Program Manager, and guides the Eshelman School of Pharmacy faculty and staff
