Policy Statement
All tenure-track hires require Provost’s Office and/or Board of Trustees approval before their appointment can be confirmed. To ensure that faculty receive approval prior to their scheduled start date, new-hire dossiers must be submitted by the relevant College deadline. Please note that the submission deadline for initial hires conferring tenure is earlier than the deadline for tenure-track hires on probationary appointments. For tenured hires, departments should also allow additional lead time to solicit external letters of evaluation.
