Policy Statement
To cancel your registration for a live program, click the link in your confirmation email labeled "Cancel your registration" or log in to your School of Government registration account and click the button labeled "Cancel" next to the corresponding program. The School of Government registration office will review all cancellation submissions and process any refunds or credits according to the policies set forth below.
Live In-Person and Online Program Cancellation Policy
Registered program participants who submit their cancellation more than 7 calendar days before the program start date will be issued a full refund. No refund will be issued for cancellations within 7 calendar days of the program start date; however, a credit will be issued to your account to use within 12 months of the program start date toward any School of Government program registration. A credit issued to your account is transferrable to others within your unit. Individuals who register for a program and do not attend without canceling in advance are responsible for the full registration fee. If the registered program participant has not paid the registration fee, they will be invoiced the total amount, and no credit will be issued.
On-Demand Cancellation Policy
Registration and payment for on-demand online programs is final, because registrants receive access to content immediately after a purchase is processed.
Cancellation by the School of Government
If a live in-person or online program is canceled by the School of Government - due to the illness of presenters, adverse weather, technical issues, or other emergency conditions - the School will attempt to reschedule the program. Registration fees will not be refunded when a program is rescheduled, except those registrants who cannot attend the program on the rescheduled date. The School will refund all registration fees if the program is not rescheduled. The School is not responsible for any other loss or damages incurred due to a cancellation, including travel or hotel costs or associated penalties. The School will notify registered program participants of a cancellation as soon as possible.
